Full bioA founding member of Tater Tot Designs, Thomas Worley specializes in developing innovative consumer electronics and product development services, becoming President and Chief Executive Officer in 2010. Thomas previously worked at Digital Blue Inc. where he was Director of Technology and Research focusing on new product development for online and retail consumer sales. Before Digital Blue, Thomas worked 12 years for the Intel Corporation, where he became Technology Development Manager, researching next-generation chipsets, processors, and systems technologies.

Full bioMandy is Chief Operations Officer and VP of Product Development at Tater Tot Designs. Prior to co-founding Tater Tot, she worked for four years at Digital Blue Inc. as Director of Product Development. Global in focus, Mandy spent five years working abroad, designing and developing new products in the connector industry with EMEA and AP manufacturers. She puts her global experience to work maintaining Tater Tot’s international partnerships and operations. In fact, Mandy’s in the middle of everything we do—making what needs to happen, happen.

Full bioWhen Philip joined Tater Tot Designs as Chief Technology Officer, he brought seven years of hands-on development experience and experience leading teams in a broad array of industries. With a strong background in China-side electronics development and manufacturing, Philip has developed imaging, industrial manufacturing, display and automotive products for the consumer, commercial, industrial, automotive and military industries. Philip earned his bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Georgia Tech, with an emphasis on theoretical physics and embedded platforms in both mechanical motion and imaging systems.
To make an amazing product or service, it takes more than bits, bolts and code. You have to have imagination, a heart for solving problems, and a deep desire to please. That’s Tater Tot!

Full bioFrank is an experienced listener, thinker, and doer. He likes motivating self-organizing teams, eliminating wasteful practices, and delivering digital solutions that are designed to be flexible and that are developed in a sustainable way. He believes in engaging clients as partners, demonstrating the value of iterative delivery, and bringing award-winning products and services to the marketplace. He is an Agile instigator and relentless self-critic as well as a process improvement specialist. He enjoys muddy coffee and bookstores.

Full bioChau brought his engineering skill to Tater Tot Designs long before we had our name on the door. Fueled by an energetic mix of OCD and sugar, he has worked on everything from simple blinking lights to stereoscopic 3D—and all the minor headaches and major glitches that needed fixing in between. Chau says “yes” to every challenge, as long as his snack supply doesn’t run low.

Full bioEJ learned to program by going from dabbler to lead developer in three months at Hewlett-Packard. Since then, he has worked as a software developer on projects to create biosensors that detect disease and on various web application development projects at other companies. EJ holds two bachelor’s degrees in outdoor education and marine biology from Evergreen State College and a master’s degree in applied biotechnology from Oregon State. Whitewater kayaking—and teaching others how—is his favorite hobby.

Full bioGary has developed software for nearly fourteen years, and his passion is creating meaningful user experiences across multiple platforms and devices. As a creative developer he enjoys being involved from concept to deployment. Gary’s other loves are family, music, and soccer (or Football as he calls it). He shares in the glory (and agony) of supporting the Portland Timbers with his brethren in the Timbers Army.

Full bioJamie has 9 years of experience of product design in structural, electronics packaging, and motion systems designs with an emphasis in Finite Element Analysis. An additional 4 years of machining and fabrication experiences aids in prototyping and design for manufacturing. On the side, he spends his time with family, making parts on 3D printers, tinkering with motorcycles, house projects, and biking.

Full bioB.S. in physics with a minor in geology, certification in Database Design and SQL, and currently taking electrical engineering classes at PSU. Experience includes 15 years in quality and reliability engineering and program management in the areas of customer loyalty and customer-centric paradigm shifts and six years freelancing in website and database design and development. When not working, Gina enjoys skiing, wakeboarding, biking, fishing, and camping with family and friends.

Full bioAlexis came to work at Tater Tot Designs based on the presence of an office dog and proximity to food carts. She brings empathy to user interface design and likes working as part of a creative team, ligatures, and the self-righteousness of saying she bikes into work.

Full bioAs a designer and developer, Jeff uses his expertise of the Silverlight technology platform to bridge the gap between beautiful animation design and solid development. Before coming to Tater Tot Designs, Jeff worked six years in the 3D-animation industry, where he led training classes, developed new training materials, and taught a course in 3D animation at a local community college. He’s authored two Silverlight books, three 3D-animation books, and numerous magazine articles related to 3D graphics and scenario-based approaches. He spends some of his free time building interactive applications with HTML5, as well.

Full bioJeremy is a current student at Portland State University, where he is pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. Although Jeremy serves as the Quality Assurance Intern here at Tater Tot, he’s always eager to learn and lend a hand. When not working or in school, he can often be found pursuing his passions of home brewing, fitness, and the culinary arts.

Full bioAlex has been developing software for nearly 10 years with his primary motivator being to provide complete solutions to complex problems. He strives to deliver quality and thrives on immediate feedback. As one to look at all sides of an issue, Alex loves solving seemingly unsolvable problems.
In his spare time, he enjoys music, road trips and spending time with family.

Full bioJennifer may look like she's fresh off the farm, but she has 9 years of design experience under her belt. She was born with a pen in her hand and will doodle on anything that stands still (watch your back!). Jenn does it all: print, mobile, web, apps, t-shirt designing, toy making…you name it. Oh, and she loves tacos…like really loves them…it borders on a obsession really.
